January. A month of cleansing, energising and boosting immunity through highly nutritious food.

For our Revive menus this month we’re all about ingredients which will set you up for a year of wellness  – without making you feel like you are missing out in any way.

How do we do that? Holistic chef Nicola Orr is working her magic, curating the perfect, tasty menu to complement our January yoga sessions. Some of her essential ingredients are:

  • beetroot – we love beetroot at any time of year, but it makes the January detox cut due to being a great liver cleanser as well as helping to regenerate cells of the immune system and purify blood – necessary after the festive party time.
  • celery – great for nervous system support and detoxing, celery will be there in the background to help eliminate toxins – great for adding to a juice when it’s too much like hard work to munch through.
  • turmeric – many health benefits are associated with this ancient spice, but certainly its contribution to helping detox the liver is up there on the list. Turmeric tea is a more substantive alternative to herbal tea with the added comfort of ginger, cinnamon, coconut milk and honey.

So for our January Revive, Nicola is embracing Veganuary and coming up with wonderful tasting creations which will help detoxing, in a way which makes you feel positively nourished.

Till then, our top tip for a January cleansing juice is grapefruit, celery, ginger and parsley – enjoy!
